Welcome to RICHMIX records. Music is our love. Buying and selling music is our business.
We can’t be everything to everyone but our aim is to offer as wide a range of music as possible. We try
to cater to listeners and enthusiasts of all age-groups and to carry stock that meets budgets both big and
small.

Our focus is on pre-owned vinyl in all formats but we also stock brand new releases and re-pressings of
those hard to get and expensive lp’s from times past. We have a strong demand for cd’s so keep a good
range of inexpensive, mostly used, items in our racks.
Since we are into all things musical we see no reason to stop at vinyl & cd’s . At RICHMIX you’ll find
music related books, music DVD’s, music memorabilia and collectibles. Where we can find the space we
keep a small stock musical instruments as well as vintage radio’s and hi-fi equipment.

A BIT MORE ABOUT US

RICHMIX is the new incarnation of “ The Cavern “ a music shop in the heart of Brixham open by local-
man Roger Stafford. Roger has been involved in the music retail business for many decades but in 2019
decided it was time to bring the curtain down on an illustrious career ! Later that year a casual
conversation between myself and Roger slowly developed into a more concrete discussion about me
taking over the business and in early 2020 we struck a deal.
Roger would be the first to admit that The Cavern was overflowing with stock that needed to brought
under control. To that end we have overhauled our shelves and opened a new chapter in the shop’s
history with a new name, new stock & products. We are widening are sales platform to include on-line
retail and the shop itself has new longer opening hours. An increase in marketing aims to connect our
shop to a new & wider audience

SELLING

At RICHMIX 80% of our stock is pre-owned material. Vinyl is our focus and we try to keep as wide a
range of music as possible. We cover all decades back to the 1950’s and in terms of genres everything
from heavy metal to classical. You’ll find some rare and expensive collectors items through to £1, £2 &
£3 bins. Most vinyl sells for between £5 & £20 and cd’s between £3 & £5.
We are happy to source a particular item or to help in building a collection of must have’s. Your
enthusiasm is our pleasure and we love to talk music and provide a service beyond just selling you a
record

Our stock of books, dvds, memorabilia, instruments and audio equipment provides another avenue for
your own collecting or perhaps to buy a present for some one else.
Either way, selling music is our business and whatever we can do make that an enjoyable experience for
us all we will do.

BUYING

To sell, we need to buy. We are always interested in buying new stock of all the things we sell. Keeping a
regular turnover of new things is key so please think of us if you have something you would like to sell or
pass on. We are happy for you to come into the shop or to call us on or email at
sim@richmix.org. We can visit you to assess a collection and will pay a fair market rate in cash, cheque
or bank transfer.

We’ll take item’s in part exchange which will enable us to give you a little more than if we were just
purchasing from you.

To get to the shop :- We are in the centre of town at 9a, Bolton Street, Brixham, Devon, TQ9 5BZ, just a
few shops down from “ The Vigilance “ Wetherspoons pub. We’re a 3-minute walk from the Brixham
Central car-park just behind the harbour and you’ll also find free parking on Parkham Road behind the
shop.
